The club shared a celebratory video across its social media platforms, highlighting Salah’s achievements and announcing that he won the award after a fan poll.
This marks the fourth time this season that the 32-year-old forward has claimed the Player of the Month award, having previously won it in August, October, and November.
Salah’s Reaction to Winning the Award
In an interview with Liverpool’s official website, Salah expressed his gratitude and reflected on the team’s performances:
“Thank you very much. We had a great month, winning matches, which is the most important thing. Helping the team win is always my main goal.”
When asked about the standout moments of December, Salah pointed to Liverpool’s win over Manchester City:
“We had some great victories in December. If I had to choose, I would say the Manchester City game was special because of how we handled the pressure against an incredible team. Also, my assist for Cody Gakpo was a great moment.”
Salah also emphasized his commitment to team success:
“I always try to focus on the matches. I feel like an important part of the team and always aim to help my teammates perform better. That’s the most important thing for me. Some people might debate whether this is my best season, or if it was last season, or even my first season. I don’t know, but as long as we keep winning and I’m in good form, I don’t think too much about it.”
